No, You Look Good!

So Monk was at school and she was looking in a magazine at a picture of some food and she remarked, "That food looks good." And her classmate, a cute boy who sits next to her remarked back to her, "No, you look good." It wasn't the first nice thing he has said to her. We are pretty sure he has a little Monk crush!

Here are a few more pictures of my beautiful girl dancers.

Halloween Fun

We had fun at the school parties and the parade.

We also had fun on Halloween Night!

Pumpkin Carving Fun

This is the first year that Smoke has been able to carve pumpkins with us and the girls had lots of fun. Too bad I forgot to put the pumpkins outside on Halloween and they ended up rotting on my kitchen counter. It was fun so I guess it doesn't matter.

The girls getting the guts out...

Monk and Tink drew their own faces on their pumpkins. Here they are carving.

Tink taking a break during the pumpkin carving because she has the attention span of a fly!

Tribute to my MIL

Yesterday, October 1, 2008, was my Mother-in-Law's Birthday. If I was a really good daughter in law I would have blogged this yesterday, but hey - it is what it is. So back to my mother in law. Her name is Sharon and she ROCKS! You always hear stories of how difficult MIL's are, but I hit the jackpot with mine. First of all, I need to add her to my previous blog below because I can't believe I forgot to put her on it.

When I need to decorate ANYTHING...What would Sharon do?

Thanks to ValPal for unintentionally reminding me that Sharon was not on my list.

So my MIL is an amazing decorator and artist. She has more talent in her pinky finger than most people have in their whole body. She is caring, loving, giving, unselfish, funny, creative, artistic and I could just go on and on. She is genuinely just nice to the core. I know if I ever needed her for anything, she would be there for me in a heartbeat. Just as an example a few weeks ago I was cleaning my carpets and I could not get the machine to work. I called her and asked her if she could help me and she was at my house ready to fix and do whatever I needed her to within 10 minutes of my call.

Sharon has not had an easy life and for the last 20 years her health has not been great, but she just keeps on doing her best to be strong and faithful. I love her and am so thankful I am part of her family. She treats me like her own daughter and she is a great mother to me. I love her with all my heart and wish I could take away all of her pain. Her character is something I admire more than she knows and I send this tribute out to her as my way of telling her how much I love her and how much she means to me, even though I don't always show it.

I love you Sharon!

Tagged - Quirks

Thanks Tara - I think these things are fun as well.

The Rules:-Link the Person who Tagged you-Mention rules on your blog-Tell about 6 quirks of yours-Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same-Leave a comment to let them know.

1. I constantly crunch on crushed ice. I have an absolute obsession with QT Ice. I fill up about 8 64oz cups a week with the crushed ice and keep them in my freezer. I plan all of my errands around a QT if I need to get ice. My mom even brings me ice whenever she comes over.

2. A well known quirky thing about me is my laugh. I laugh loud, without restraint and sometimes at very inappropriate times. Anyone who really knows me can verify this.

3. I hate when people chew with their mouths open or talk with their mouths full of food. I can't stand the sound of smacking lips or teeth when eating. It makes me crazy. I even though I crunch ice all the time - that is different than actual food)

4. I am the worst passenger in a car. I make other people so annoyed when I drive with them because I cringe and make noises and basically act like I am about to die. I guess I like being in control in the car.

5. I love putting on mascara. It is my favorite part of getting ready for the day. I take my time and enjoy every minute of it. I used to be obsessed about clumping so I would use a safety pin to separate my eyelashes, but I have since found the most perfect mascara so my eyelashes no longer clump. My nervous husband is very happy since he no longer has to worry I will poke my eye out.

6. I am unusually reactionary in movies. I laugh when no one else is laughing, I sometimes talk to the movie and make comments like, "Oh no way" or "I can't believe that just happened!" I get mad or I might cry. Or even like when I watched Pride and Prejudice for the first time there was a moment when I watched Mr. Darcy walk up to Elizabeth and I sort of moaned out loud because I thought Mr. Darcy was so Beautiful and Sexy. (my cousin Tara can attest to this). A bunch of people started laughing because it was pretty hilarious.

I tag Stacy, Tangie, Amy H, Beth, Amy M and Kimi

Silly Faces & Fun Pics

Here are just a few funny faces and cute pics of Monk and Tink I thought you might enjoy.

First Day of School

So my last post of the night or should I say morning is of the girls first day of school. Both Monk and Tink were very happy to get back to school. Summer proved to be too boring and they missed their friends and the monkey bars. Here are my cutie patuties on their first day. Check out Monk's new adorable hair cut. I can't believe I have a 4th grader and a 1st grader. It blows my mind how time flies.

Girls Girls Girls

I recently hosted a girl cousins sleep over at my house and it was a lot of fun. Of course we waited until the summer was almost over before we finally did it, but that is not the important thing. What is important is that the girls are creating memories together. The girls colored, made fun designs with wikki stix, sang their hearts out to Playstation SingStar, ate junk food and ended the evening watching The Waterhorse. The next morning I made french toast for everyone, sent them on their way and then made sure that I got a nap in later :-)

Girls Night Out

I made plans to see Mama Mia with my good friends and neighbors NC and HC. We had so much fun. Well in order to go to Mama Mia I had to cancel going to another girls night out with some other girl friends of mine. So those friends decided to toilet paper our houses, but they got mine the worst because our neighbor busted them when shortly after they started. NC, MC and I got some revenge by driving to their homes at midnight and using window paint on their cars. I tell you - I hope I am never too old to forget the kid in me. What fun!
